Cross Country to Houston
Houston, TX

This was the first time that I'd ever taken a flight (while pilot in command) all the way to Houston. Although I didn't technically break into the class B (bravo) airspace, I was just beneath it and only a few miles from laterally west of it.

Barb and I geared up in Austin and took a direct route into West Houston Airport (KIWS).

This worked out really well because Dave G. works in Park Ten (just a mile or two away) and was happy to pick us up. He took us to a Cuban restaurant for lunch just a few miles from the airport.

On our way out, we made a brief stop at Sugarland Regional (KGSR), just so that we could see what it was like, before making the rest of our voyage back to Austin (KAUS).
