Crossing the Cook Straight w/ DG
Cook Straight, New Zealand

I still have no idea why I didn't take more pictures than this in New Zealand, but the only gallery I seem to have is from the three of us (Dave, Nick, and myself) crossing the Cook Straight into Picton.

In this album: Dave G., Nick Devereaux

Turk Caption(s): [What is this]
Appears to be a deck of a ship or dock (probably a ship, there seems to be a cable of some kind running down the middle in the upper half of the image, sugguesting some kind of line to raise or lower the sails) The floor is green, with dark strips running width wise, possibly some kind of traction strips. Dividing the deck in the foreground is split by a white railing that runs perpindicular to the width of the image, towards the center and intersects with another wall of white railing running the width of the image in about the middle of the image. To the right is a wall is curved features, hidden in shadow. Beyond the rail is a lower level, slight clip of the floor of the lower level, is a darker shade of gree and three, brown walls (at the peack of which connects the cable)
Beyond this structure is a dark, turquoise body of water. Beyond that are either steep hills or vegetation covered mountanst that wrapa round the background and fade away the further away they appear. Above the hills/mountains is a bright blue sky with a smattering of clous in the far distance, closer to the mountains.
