 Iron Rock Raceway at ABIA Austin, TX Anyone who has ever flown in or out of Austin Bergstrom International Airport to/from the north may well have noticed that there appears to be some sort of racing track just next to the runway. I'd been curious about this place for many years and though I guess I could have always explored on my own, was finally fortunate enough to have a reason to go. Tracy and I meet up there for Dave Krewet's birthday with his good friend James Marrs, his brothers, and a few other guys. The place was very cool and though it seemed expensive, in retrospect, it's actually a pretty good deal for the amount of time you get on the track. What was perhaps most interesting is that they required us to wear a full suit of gear and a helmet as the karts that we were racing went between 40 and 50 miles per hour.
