Ohau Seal Colony
Ohau, New Zealand

When headed south in the South Island, towards Kaikoura, Tisa and I came across what is know to be the Ohau Seal Colony.

We pulled over on the side of the road and managed to snap some great pictures of dozens of seals and sea lions that were laying out in the rocks below.

This was also the first time that we came across what we would forever describe as 'seal breath'. To anyone who has never been close enough to a seal or sea lion (in the wild) to actually know what seal breath is, I would not recommend it.
