 Omaru Omaru, New Zealand Omaru is a little town on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand just about two hours south of Christchurch, and two hours north of Dunedin. Tisa and I pulled in here on our way to Dunedin and were surprised to see how much attention was paid to the blue penguins. Although we didn't really get to see any of them (other than on some video cameras that were implanted into their nests), we eventually got to see the Blue Penguin Colony in Dunedin. |
