Pancake Rocks After our lengthy drive up the west coast highway (Hwy 6) with Sean, one of our stops was at the famous Pancake Boulders. Here is a little background on the subject from Wikipedia: Punakaiki is a small community on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand, between Westport and Greymouth. The community lies on the edge of the Paparoa National Park. The Pancake Rocks are a popular tourist goal at Dolomite Point south of the main village. The Pancake Rocks are a heavily eroded limestone area where the sea bursts though a number of vertical blowholes during high tides. Together with the 'pancake'-layering of the limestone (created by immense pressure on alternating hard and soft layers of marine creatures and plant sediments), these form the main attraction of the area. The Pancake Rocks are presently explorable by a number of walkways winding through the rock formations, parts of these wheelchair-accessible and others carved into stairways up and down the rock faces. State Highway 6, the only through road on the West Coast, passes through the town.
Prairie Knoll Fort There's actually only one picture in here of the actual fort that I built. The rest is really just a series of pictures from a night at Prairie Knoll.
More New Haircut Pics Just a few more pictures that I took one afternoon of my first short haircut in years.
Gibson Photo Shoot Just a few weeks after getting my new Gibson LC2 Sonoma, these are a few pictures that were taken of me outside of my Village Oaks apartment one evening.
Dave Shaves One of the older galleries that I saved from Dave and I living in our Aldea Duplex. Apparently Dave snapped a handful of pictures off of him shaving his 'stache. I couldn't help but notice that he looked an awful lot like a famous fascist dictator.
Moving to Wellington One of those many airplane albums that I am so fond of making. Tisa and I had recently gotten back to Dunedin after our two weeks with my family and now it was finally time to move to the capital city, Wellington.
Fixing up My Apartment When the cable wires were finally being run at my Village Oaks apartment, I came home one afternoon to find part of my house in shambles and drywall dust all over my desk and phone. I just took a couple of pictures in case I had to talk to management about it.
ABIA Tower Tour I don't know exactly how easily one can set this up, but George Farris managed to get us on an unbelievably interesting tour of the Austin Bergstrom International Airport air traffic control tower. We got to walk around and explore the approach / departure, and clearance delivery room, take the elevator up to the tower, and even go so far as to walk out on the observation deck some 20 stories up.
Krista's Bridal Photos This was actually quite a story that I was part of. Firstly, I had agreed to take Krista's bridal photos for her just a few weeks before her big day. Evidently she was pleased with my previous photography and asked if I would do it. I kindly accepted. On the day that we actually went out to shoot the pictures, I turned out to be terribly ill. I think I eventually turned out to have strep throat, or something similar, but I still went out to Lake Travis with Krista and her mom. Though the initial photo shoot wasn't all that bad, we had the luxury of cruising around one of the nicer sailboats on Lake Travis. Although I was getting worse by the minute, the onset of cold rain is what really made it terrible. Krista's mom, Donna, and her friend were very quick to make sure that they ran inside and left me to help secure the vessel - despite my now shivering and sickly condition.
SprintPCS Pictures 2006 My collection of pictures from the 2006 calendar year with my Sprint PCS camera phone. Fortunately the camera that I was using for almost the entirety of this year happened to be one that embedded the metadata into photos and so the date and timestamps should be accurate.
