Party at Neil Patrick Harris' As it turns out, Neil Patrick Harris (aka: Doogie Howser) is one of the producers of the show that Liz works on. He wanted to have a little appreciation party out at his house and boy was that a nice party. He and his partner's house overlooks all of the hills of Los Angeles. The party was catered with all sorts of delicious food and had a fully staffed bar.
Liz's Family in Houston Liz's stepmother's family happens to live right over by Nottingham Country Elementary in Katy (right up the block from where we grew up). We went over there one night to spend some time with them and to enjoy a good meal. I wound up playing Horse with some of her step-cousins. Unfortunately they were much better at basketball than I am.
Dinner with the Mannions One of the people that Liz had been dying to see for quite sometime was Brian Mannion. I hadn't actually seen him in a few years, and it had been even longer since I had last seen Deidra. They invited us over to their beautiful ranch house out in old Katy for dinner, drinks, and some light conversation. We couldn't stay too late, namely as Deidra was very pregnant at the time and probably needed some rest.
Garner State Park Tent Over the summer I spent a week in Garner State Park with Kujda's extended family and friends. Since we were in the middle of a drought and the temperatures were in the high 90s and low 100s every day, it was pretty difficult for me to sleep. So, I engineered up a crafty one-person tent with dual fans, a built in window-unit A/C, and all sorts of other fixings (including internet complete with Netflix).
Codemode Cabinet Just some pictures from the first cabinet that I helped to setup for CodeMode, LLC. Although we had the two switches in the cabinet, we never got one of them to work properly. We eventually disbanded our project and my company began leasing its own cabinet.
Fishing with Dick My dad and grandfather took my brother and I deep sea fishing off the coast of St. Augustine. We caught tons of barracuda and one giant amberjack.
Toy Story on Ice One of my favorite movies during my senior year of high school was Toy Story. Toy Story on Ice went on tour and my girlfriend, Tara, got us tickets to it. Unfortunately the camera I had at the time was awful for this sort of thing
USS Alabama Getting to explore the USS Alabama was definitely a good use of a day trip. I was impressed by exactly how much of the battleship one is able to explore, virtually all of it. We went on all three self-guided tours before checking out the various airplanes in the indoor center. Most notable of those was the infamous SR-71 Blackbird. I really had no idea just how huge the thing was. Before we left we also strolled through the submarine that was docked there as well.
Meredith Putt Just one lone album I happen to have of Meredith Putt at my house in Katy.
Jon Weitzel's House When I had only had my first digital camera for a short period of time, I was one night hanging out with my friend from highschool, Jon Weitzel. The power went out for a few hours and so we lit some candles. We quickly noticed that the digital camera put some pretty neat effects on the images and decided to shoot a bunch of pics before the power came back on. This is a pretty weird photo gallery to say the least.
