Libertarian Party National Convention The 2014 Libertarian Party National Convention was held at the Columbus Convention center in Columbus, Ohio. Although I've participated in several party conventions in the past, this was the first time I had ever participated at a national level convention (for any party). To say the least, it was a amazingly fun time. Business was conducted pretty much as I had expected. We were happy to get the national delegation to accept our Texas system of Approval Voting and went on to elect the executive board with this method. There were not any significant plank changes (as far as I know), albeit people did try to alter the language around the abortion plank (the effort failed). All in all it was a great success!
Trip to Buffalo At the end of our trip, Mark, Dana and I met up with some of their good friends in Buffalo. We also stopped in at the Albright-Knox Modern Art Museum for the day and saw some favorites.
Pride Parade 2014 After a full day out at the 2014 Pride Festival, Adrienne was kind enough to walk the entire parade route with me carrying my campaign billboard. It was absolutely exhausting and excruciating on the legs and feet, but we made the entire walk and then back to my truck. It was one of the longest days of the campaign and I really appreciated all of the help.
Kerry McKennon Senate Filing With a special state senate race open in north Texas, Kerry drove into Austin to pay his filing fees and officially register for the position. I donated a few hundred dollars to get him going on the quest.
Art Science Gallery With Adrienne working at the Art Science Gallery, I popped in for Earth Day to see all sorts of events kicking off and to take a good look at one of the new Teslas. I especially loved all of the hanging object art made from recycled metals.
Office Balloon Prank After filling up Tim's office with balloons when he was out of town, he and Claire returned the favor to me. They very carefully roped off a corral using tape and placed about 500 balloons inside of it. It took me 20 minutes to pop them all so I could sit down.
G'Raj Mahal Tiffany invited Adrienne out to G'Raj Mahal with a few of her friends.
Adrienne's Art Book Just some photos from Adrienne's art book. I took them with hopes of getting high-res images of them (in the absence of a scanner), but they didn't work.
Connolly's at Broadmoor Evan and Diana popped into Austin for a weekend and spent the night with Adrienne and I. Naturally we played Dominion well into the evening.
LPNC Convention I gave the Wilford's son my camera and let him run wild with it on the national convention floor. These are the photos that he took. I found it interesting the sorts of things he felt so compelled to catalog.
