Liz's Dancer's Fracture While Liz was rehearsing for a performance she was going to be doing, she apparently jumped and landed wrong on her foot. We really didn't think it was broken for the first two days, but after ice baths and compression wouldn't heal it, I took her to a doctor to have it X-rayed. Sure enough she had what they refer to as a Dancer's Fracture, or a break along the 5th metatarsal in the foot. To make matters worse, the doctor said it would need to be operated on right away and would likely need a screw put into it to hold it together. Liz's mom came in town and handled most of the matter for her. I was happy to share in her pain medication with her!
Trip to San Diego Since Putt and Matt were in town for Comicon and really just stopping through Los Angeles to see me, I offered to drive them down to San Diego and to hang out with them for a few days there. We had intended to do some surfing, but unfortunately it was severely overcast and a little too chilly for that the first day we were there.
Sci-Fi Romance Debut My good friend Vance has been playing music for as long as I have known him. Since moving to Los Angeles and having a couple of kids, his ability to produce music has drastically slowed down, or so I thought. As it turns out, he has been working on an album over the past year and mixed all parts of it entirely himself. This was his debut show in Los Angeles. Liz and I went and sat off to the side with Vance's wife, Raighney. There wasn't a huge crowd, but people seemed pretty enthused to hear him.
Duke Wedding Charlie and I have been friends for a really long time, so I was pretty excited to attend his wedding. The ceremony itself was absolutely lovely, as was the reception. Charlie even played a song with the band that they hired to play wedding music. After the wedding most of us headed over to Dirty's and drank the night away.
Thatcher Graham With a small crowd of people anxiously waiting to meet him, Mr. Thatcher Graham was born on a beautifully sunny afternoon. He was greeted by close friends and family and is affectionately being referred to as T-Bone. Both mom and child are doing very well!
Server Rack Update I try to do a good job keeping up with my server rack changes. I had just added a new server for some additional work I was doing and wanted to make sure it was properly cataloged.
Axel Lane Grass Growing After Axel Lane had been cleared, I was really happy to see when some of the grass started growing. It really looked like a place that would be fun to hang out at. I took the pictures with a panorama in mind.
Movie Theater Destruction One night while I was still in high school, me and three of my buddies got into Putt's van, had a few drinks at one of our dad's offices, and then proceeded to go see a movie in Houston. We managed to sneak a ton drinks into the place (somehow or another) and as it happened, we were the only people who occupied the theater. I don't remember remember everything we did, but I do know that we left the theater with two of their EXIT signs.
Photoshoot with Sarah Wagner After I had just taken a semester of photo journalism classes at UT, I wanted to shoot some pictures of Sarah (who I was dating at the time). Most of these were shot in old Katy near the railroad tracks.
