TrouballTown Softball Game A look at my co-ed softball team, TroubleTown. Though we had been playing together for some time already, I had never actually taken any pictures of the team. I brought Dave's digital camera out there one day and decided I would shoot a few pics, all of which I wound up imposing on baseball cards and sending out to my teammates. These particular pictures happen to be from the field that we played on up in Round Rock (close to TX Hwy 79).
Klaus Paragliding Dave and I were watching Klaus practice some para-gliding maneuvers one afternoon at the Murchinson Middle school hill when a couple of kids that had gotten their hands on a parachute showed up. Needless to say they didn't get very far with this experiment, but it proved to be a comical afternoon.
Tisa at Aldea Just a few pictures that I took of Tisa one evening when she had stopped by to use my computer and do some homework.
Theatre at Zilker Park Austin's local park, Zilker Park, often holds theatre nights. Tisa took me one night so that I could see what it was all about. The play that we saw was a culmination of fairy tales and was a great performance.
House Marketing Project This was a project that Tisa had to do for one of her marketing classes. She needed my help namely because I had access to Dave's digital camera at the time.
Motorcycling Night On the evening of one of the days that Dave and Mike had rented Harleys, Chris and his girlfriend, Molly, stopped by with a friend. Dave took all of them around for rides on the bike.
Dreux's Bachelor Party Although I might be slightly biased in having planned this event, this is probably one of the better bachelor parties I've been to. Everyone met over at my Village Oaks apartment sometime around 6pm. I knew someone who was able to rent me a special party bus with a fighter jet canopy welded to the top of it. We immediately started drinking on the bus and went to pick up Dreux at his house where he was bombarded with silly string and then forced to wear a prison suit and drag around an actual ball and chain (a 16 lb bowling ball). We went to dinner at The Tilted Kilt (scantily clad women serving food), and then up north to Perfect 10 for some good stripper action. When we finally headed back towards town, we stopped in at Sherlock's on north Burnet for the remaining hour we had the bus before heading back to my apartment. Once we got there, drunk as all could be, we decided it would be a good idea to go swimming. For the most part, everything worked out pretty well although Emerson did manage to get the police to show up after pounding on the wrong apartment door (instead of mine).
Trip to Coney Island Alison and I had been talking about taking a trip out to Coney Island, and thankfully we did. We arrived sometime in the middle of the afternoon, immediately set off to have a few Nathan's dogs, and then took to the amusement park. I wasn't allowed to stick around while Alison had her fortune told (or perhaps her tarot cards interpreted), but we did have a great time around the park. The film I was able to shoot of her on the original Cyclone is also one of my favorite roller coaster films ever.
The Door Buzzer I've been saving this particular one for a story, so I won't go into too much detail in my photo account alone, but basically Marnie and I found an old door buzzer in our house that had been long since forgotten. After I pried it open and attached a battery to the leads, I found that it still worked. I put the device back together but left two of the leads exposed on the side. The gist of the story is that for two or three days, Marnie and I would periodically touch the battery to the leads and Nick would inquire about the noise. He eventually caught on to the fact that we were the ones doing it, but then spent another day or two trying to figure out WHAT we were actually doing. It was great fun for us.
Jersey Boardwalk Since Patti Anne and Jack live so very close to one of the New Jersey shore boardwalks, and Tracy and I didn't have much to do, we took a stroll out there and played some games. They actually had a few pretty cool rides that we wanted to check out, but the prices were outrageous for just a couple of minutes.
